Volumetric mineralogical model
An inverse mineralogical model that solves porosity, shale and mineral fractions simultaneously —
returning a continuous volumetric composition of the rock across the whole field.
Building the model
- Data preparation in a dedicated LQC dataset.
- An ordered set of algorithms solves the model from the input suite.
- Results are displayed directly and the produced curves and groups are reviewed.
Calibration and rock typing
- Constant calibration — end-member densities, matrix and fluid constants calibrated to core / cuttings.
- Rock typing — determination of reservoir type as an input to the inversion.
Joint inversion
- Solves porosity, shale and mineral fractions simultaneously across GR, density, neutron and resistivity.
- Returns a continuous volumetric mix — the foundation for reserves estimation and flow models.
- Ignores no input: the solver balances every curve against the mineral model.
Permeability
- Permeability is derived from the resulting volumetric model.
Operation and tuning
- Node parameters and control flags let the interpreter change the model without rebuilding it.
- The model can be inspected in its unsolved state to verify inputs.
- Field-wide runs process thousands of wells in a single batch with consistent rules.
