Borehole image processing
Preparation and processing of borehole micro-imager data — from individual pads to an oriented image
suitable for structural and sedimentological interpretation.
Pad handling
- Pad image creation — combine electrodes into per-pad images.
- Speed correction — correct for uneven tool motion.
Harmonisation and equalisation
- Pad harmonisation — harmonise and correct electrodes across pads.
- Histogram equalisation — equalise data arrays for consistent contrast.
Image assembly
- Image assembly and orientation — build and orient the fullbore image.
- Gap filling — fill missing intervals of the image.
Interpretation
- Outputs support bedding, fracture and structural-feature picking from the processed image.
